Please be aware that CPT products will not be available until mid-December can potentially delay shipment of ICD-10 products.

Non-consolidated shipment - I want my items shipped as soon as they become available (at additional cost)

Your items ship as they become available, beginning with those already in stock. You should choose this option if your rorder includes both ICD-10 & CPT products and you want to receive ICD-10 products on or before Oct 1.

When I try to access a digital navigator. I get the error "Please close your screen capture application".

You have to close any screen grabber (or applications that have similar functionality such as the Windows snipping tool, Microsoft OneNote) before opening PDC files. This is one of a number of measures used to prevent unauthorized screen shot copying of content. For instance, if you have an application (process) running which ends in ‘capture.exe’ (e.g. screencapture.exe, m4capture.exe, wincapture.exe) then you will have to close down that process, and any others that end in ‘capture.exe’ by pressing CTRL, ALT, DEL on your keyboard to load Task Manager, and then in Task Manager > Processes highlight the processes and delete them. Unless you do this, the PDC document will not open.

I gave someone else my digital access login. Why can't they open it?

The digital access is only accessible for one browser session at a time.

How do I upgrade the Safeguard v2 Viewer to v3?
  1. Firstly, run the update check to check for the latest version and ask you whether you want to install it.  This will then download the v3 Viewer and start the installation process.

Alternatively, you can download the latest Windows Viewer from the Locklizard web site and then double-click on the exe file to start the installation process.

  2. The v3 Viewer will first de-install the v2 Viewer.  During this process do NOT select the option to remove your keystore.
  3. Once de-installation is complete you will need to re-run the v3 Viewer setup again to install the v3 Viewer.
  4. At the end of the installation process it will upgrade your keystore to a v3 compatible one.

You are now ready to enjoy the many benefits of upgrading to Safeguard Viewer v3.

Error: Document fails to open in the Web Viewer

1. Try using a different browser to open the document

2. Check the security settings in your browser and that JavaScript is enabled

3. Disable any browser plugins and extensions Check that your firewall is not preventing inbound requests (i.e. Sonicwall Stealth mode may prevent documents loading in Chrome)

4. Check that a web proxy or any web security software is not preventing pages from being loaded 5. 5. Disable SSL scanning and content filtering on your firewall to see if that is the cause. Firewalls that provide deep content inspection may alter the actual content, or problems may occur when the firewall decrypts SSL packets and re-encrypts them.

Proxies and firewalls can slow document loading especially if all Internet activity is being filtered through them.

Does Revenue Cycle Coding Strategies® offer online training to individuals or large organizations?

If you are looking for a more corporate solution, please contact a Coding Strategies® representative at 1.877.6.CODING or complete our online form to learn more about online training programs available to your organization.

How are your courses different from competitive online training courses?
Unlike generic online learning programs, which simply rehash the information in the code book, Coding Strategies'® courses give you the information you need in order to submit correct claims for your services, including descriptions of procedures, coding guidelines, coverage restrictions, modifier use, bundling issues, documentation tips, etc. Our programs are created by professionals who have experience and expertise in your specialty.
How are your online training courses different from your webinars?

Revenue Cycle Coding Strategies'® online courses incorporate information from a wide range of sources to give you a complete and practical perspective on coding and reimbursement. Users will learn from actual dictated reports, sample documentation and assessments throughout each course to gain a complete understanding of your specialties. Webinars are also a great training method but are only designed to give you 60- to 90-minutes of hot topic information and not a comprehensive education on your entire specialty or modality within a specialty.
