This online learning course prepares participants to assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes for cancer and cancer screening services. Course ICDRAD1 covers the coding guidelines for imaging services involving cancer and cancer screening, including mammography. Successful completion of this course requires a basic knowledge of ICD-10-CM’s components and conventions, and it is recommended that all users first complete the ICD-10-CM Fundamentals course (ICDFND), or the equivalent. Topics include but are not limited to:
- Neoplasm behavior
- Primary and secondary tumors
- Sequencing of neoplasm codes
- Personal history of malignant neoplasm
- Neuroendocrine tumors
- Lymphoma
- Screening and diagnostic mammography
The course contains lay explanations of clinical terms, anatomic diagrams, numerous exercises and examples, and a printable study guide that contains key learning points. At the completion of the course, a scored assessment tests the learner’s comprehension of the material. This course will take most users about 4.0 hours to complete.
